Roelf du Plessis, one of the real characters of South African
motor racing, is back in WesBank V8 Supercars racing to the great joy
of motor racing enthusiasts across the country. Where the racing is at
its toughest and fiercest, you will find Roelf - always giving as good
as he gets.
Roelf, who has been around the block a couple of times - he is
becoming a veteran in SA motor sport now - in his new,
stunning-looking Chev Lumina V8 run by the Venter Motors Racing Team.
The Lumina was built from scratch at Venter Motors in Westonaria, and
Roelf believes it is good and strong enough to challenge the front
runners in the WesBank championship
His biggest success so far in his long varied motor sport career was
in 2000, when he was crowned overall WesBank V8 champion. He also won
the WesBank GT2 championship title in that year, and was named WesBank
V8 driver of the year.
Roelf is the proud wearer of SA Motorsport Colours.
