WesBank, the longest standing sponsor in South African Motor Sport, have signed an agreement with the South African Modified Saloon Car Association (SAMCAR), who promote and run WesBank V8 Supercar Racing, to continue their commercial partnership for the next 3 years, starting 01 January 2007.

“This agreement takes us through to the 25th Anniversary of WesBank Racing, known as the fastest and most powerful racing formula in South Africa” says George Nyabadza, the General Manager of Marketing at WesBank.   “This confirms our policy at WesBank to commit ourselves to long term partnerships in anything we undertake.”

“We have always kept WesBank racing dynamic” says Brian Cook, the Chairman of SAMCAR.    “After 8 years of racing two classes of V8s, we are going forward with just one V8 Class in  2007.   Encouraging is the arrival  of a number of youngsters to race these big powerful cars, and already they are setting up some of the fastest times seen on our circuits.   We look forward to continuing to provide ‘entertainment on wheels’ to our many fans.”
